Thirty-eight current and former residents of Tamarisk Mobile Home and RV
Park have settled their claims against the park owner for $1,550,000.
The residents sued the park owner for failing to maintain the park, including
a failing sewer system, a dangerously aging electrical system, a substandard
water supply, a poor drainage system, inadequate street lights, and a
complete lack of maintenance in the common areas.
Preciliano Bautista, et al. v. Ashdon Development Sand Canyon, Inc.
On December 27, 2013, forty-five current and former residents and homeowners
of Sand Canyon Mobile Home Park located in Canyon Country, California,
sued the owner of the Park for failure to maintain. Plaintiffs alleged
problems with the sewer, electrical and drainage system, a substandard
water supply, inadequate street lights, and a lack of maintenance in the
common areas. Ask Law Group represented the residents and homeowners and
in September 2015, achieved a great result through mediation. The residents
and homeowners agreed to settle their lawsuit over the substandard living
conditions at the Park for $1,000,000.00.
